Dr. Cheyanne Olsen is excited and proud to be a part of the team here at Cochrane Dental Centre. She was born and raised an avid soccer player in Medicine Hat. After briefly dabbling in the world of neuroscience, she moved to the University of Alberta to graduate with a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Always in the pursuit of advanced dental education, Dr. Olsen then completed a general practice residency at the Foothills Medical Centre, where she provided dental treatment to a vast variety of high risk and medically compromised patients. She also participated in a volunteer dentistry mission trip in Nicaragua in 2016 and eagerly anticipates an opportunity to return.
Dr. Olsen focuses her care around patient comfort and ease and is certified in multiple modalities of sedation, including IV conscious sedation. She feels patient education is of the utmost importance and is happy to take the time to discuss any questions and concerns you may have.
Some fun facts about Dr. Olsen: her eyes are not the same color, she once got to pet a shark while scuba diving, and even knocked out three front teeth while falling down the stairs as a 5-year-old.
Dr. Olsen warmly welcomes new patients and looks forward to the opportunity to become a part of your dental family.
